The Small Business Commerce Association (SBCA) is pleased to announce that BENin10D has been selected for the 2009 Best of Business Award in the Music Composition & Distribution category.
The SBCA 2009 Award Program recognizes the top 5% of small businesses throughout the country. Using consumer feedback, the SBCA identifies companies that we believe have demonstrated what makes small businesses a vital part of the American economy. The selection committee chooses the award winners from nominees based off information taken from monthly surveys administered by the SBCA, a review of consumer rankings, and other consumer reports. Award winners are a valuable asset to their community and exemplify what makes small businesses great.

New Orleans breeds music
As a very young Louisiana boy, Joe B., first found himself sitting outside messmerized to his first live acoustic guitar and the very first vocals outside of church. This was just one of many "shoulda known" times in his life. His neighbor was a sweet older lady with a son named Johnny, Joe B. did not know or understand this Johnny was just beginning to crash his way to the top of the music charts. So as Johnny Rivers raised Joe's first impression of live music, the hook had been set, music to Joe would never sound like it did to anyone else.
Joe spent most of his life in or around a band most of his life, he began playing football which put a small indention in his music and them came college and that introduced him to the Student Entertainment Council and he then began to learn how to book and promote National Artist, from there God, placed opportunity after opportunity for Joe to be in a position to meet, become friends with and learn from every artist he tried to learn from growing up. Joe became a promoter and Director of Production for the largest tour/concert company in the world. Show after Show after Show. Around 10 years ago Joe began writing originals and now you hear what he wrote. Rough, he realizes but he has always wanted his songs to be in a position where a producer could hear the no thrills version so he could hear what changes he wanted to make. Even though he has had the most exciting musical career and gold records , all he wants, is to hear one of his songs on the Radio. So he'll keep on writing and He'll keep listening and He'll be doing it with a great big smile.Peace ! |
