BENin10D
2nd Generation from Sicily, raised in the French Quarter of New Orleans, is told to have heard music before he heard words. His first guitar teacher at 6 years old, legendary Johnny Rivers, whose mother lived an alley away. BENin10D grew up knowing Pete Fountain, Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong as he knew most of the Quarter residents, who also lived and played in the area. BENin10D, also known professionally in the business as "Joe B." gave 20+ years promoting concerts & tours with national and international artist beginning in college and eventually the company he worked with was purchased by SFX, then Live Nation. Joe also spent a couple of years living with and hangin with Gregg Allman on Gregg's solo projects during that time, splitting his time between San Francisco and Birmingham, AL for West Coast & East Coast Tours.
Then on 12/31/09, stopped at a red light, BENin10D was rear ended by another car, leaving Joe B. paralyzed and with other complications.
BENin10D has been writing since he was a teenager and since the accident, he has focused all his energy on writing and pitching songs, which is what got him in the music business in the first place. BENin10D unlike a lot of writers keeps his recordings rather simple. He explains this is not an excuse or an apology, only explains it takes a while to get back on your feet from being paralyzed and he makes the best recordings he possibly can with the equipment that he has, that simple, It is what it is, yet he hopes to communicate the feel and emotion of the songs, while leaving the arrangement and full band recording to the artist and producers creative ear and imaginations.
